Humble Salted, Rosemary Focaccia

This quick bread will add the perfect touch to your next meal. The reason we love Focaccia bread is because of how quick it is to make. Some homemade breads while delicious, can take lots of time to prepare. With focaccia, all you need is 3 hours total. The cherry on top is the Humble Salt that sticks to the warm bread after it comes out of the oven. The mix of herbs and salt will be a crowd pleaser for sure! Give it a try, you won’t regret it.

Recipe

Dough

Topping

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons of Humble Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

  2. Add the active dry yeast packet to 1/4 cup of warm water. Let it sit in the water for 5 minutes to get all warm and bubbly.

  3. In a separate bowl mix together the flour, sugar and salt.

  4. Pour the yeast mixture along with the rest of the water and the olive oil into the dry ingredients.

  5. Mix together until a ball of dough forms. You can use any type of mixer for this step.

  6. Let this mixture sit covered in a warm spot for 1 hour.

  7. After 1 hour, press the dough gently with your fingers onto a large sheet pan. Then cover and let sit for another hour.

  8. Now it’s time to pop it in the oven for 20-25 minutes. If it gets too dark on top after the first 10 minutes. Tent it with aluminum so the top won’t burn.

  9. Lastly, pull it out of the oven and drizzle olive oil on top along with a generous dusting of Humble Salt.
